BIM and Revit Technician - remote or hybrid options available - Remote - up to £35,000 (V04232)

Our client is an independent lighting design studio delivering exceptional quality local and international projects. They boast a diverse project portfolio designed in collaboration with some of the world’s most creative designers.

They are all about creating beautiful projects and providing their client base with the very best knowledge and service in the field. With a strong small team, they are currently looking to recruit a BIM / Revit Technician into their team who has aspirations to deliver a consistent project quality. 

You should already have skills and experience in BIM / Revit and of working on commercial architectural projects. Also, the capacity to work on models, to be able to accurately interact with other design organisations and a knowledge of Uniclass & COBIE classifications and Navisworks will be important. You will also be responsible for managing the BIM and Revit output for the studio.

In addition to the above, there is the opportunity to expand your software knowledge to include the Adobe Creative Suite and lighting calculation software such as Dialux Evo and AGi32. Personal development training is available to candidates to enable and facilitate increased knowledge and expertise in these.

The location is flexible to suit the successful candidate and can be remote (UK based) or hybrid.  Attendance at meetings (both online and in-person) is envisaged as part of this role. Salary will be in the region of c£35k.

They have a strong staff retention rate with many starting as apprentices growing with the company over the years, imparting invaluable knowledge to future generations.

They are currently seeking an Estimator / Surveyor for their architectural interior joinery division collaborating with a skilled group of craftspeople with the opportunity to create stunning panelling, doors, windows and bespoke furniture.

You will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with architects, site teams and clients
  • Reviewing tender drawings and producing an accurate detailed estimate
  • Gathering external quotes for specialist items such as glazing and ironmongery
  • Completing quantity take offs as required and completing schedules of work, or bills of quantities if applicable

This design studio specialises in high-end bespoke residential interior architecture and design projects across Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London. They pride themselves not only on their design creativity but also their technical offerings, providing a comprehensive solution for all shapes and sizes of project. 
 
They make all of their own soft furnishings with a workshop a short distance away and are currently looking for a creative and skilled Interior Designer to join them designing and managing the implementation of multiple interior architecture and FF&E projects, working collaboratively with both the design and business teams, and providing guidance and mentorship to junior designers.

Duties of the Interior Designer include to:

  • Research, develop, design and compile presentations alongside comprehensive sample and fabric schemes
  • Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients and suppliers
  • Produce detailed technical drawings, plans and elevations on CAD
  • Prepare schedules, specifications and drawings for tender to suppliers
  • Source and procure FF&E, soft furnishings and accessories
  • Produce project schedules and adhere to deadlines and time allowances
  • Undertake site inspections and surveying


Skills and Experience needed from the Interior Designer:

  • 4+ years’ experience with a focus on residential projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop and EstiMac (or similar)
  • Good knowledge of bespoke furniture and joinery design with experience in lighting design advantageous
  • Strong FF&E experience across a broad spectrum of price points
  • Experience working with main contractors, architects, M&E and SE teams
  • Driving Licence as the office is in a semi-rural location

Architectural Technician - Hertfordshire - up to £50,000 (V04230)

Our client is a successful architectural and interior design practice working on commercial and residential projects across the UK.

They currently have an exciting opportunity for an Architectural Technologist, CAD Technician or Architect to join their independent, creative, growing practice and be heavily involved in all aspects of delivering outstanding projects, with long term career progression.

You will need to be able to demonstrate at least 5-7 years’ experience across all construction project phases, with extensive understanding of UK Building Regulations and excellent technical coordination skills. You will also be coordinating packages of information from different disciplines.

Key responsibilities for the Architectural Technician include to:

  • Prepare detailed technical packages on office fit out, commercial and residential schemes
  • Ensure that all designs comply strictly with Building Control, British Standards and all relevant statutory codes
  • Assist with all phases of the project including conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents

Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a full time, experienced Project Manager with a joinery background to join their team. The successful candidate will be managing large and often complex projects from point of order, through planning, design development, manufacture, and installation with the aim of delivering superb quality and service, on time and within budget. Projects range from highly decorative freestanding furniture through to significant architectural joinery installations with contract values up to £5m.

The role also entails line managing a small team which includes a Design Engineer and Draughtspersons.


Skills and Experience sought from the Project Manager:

  • A personable, positive, organised and resourceful problem solver with a good understanding of form and function and commercially aware
  • You should possess excellent interpersonal skills to work with a multitude of stakeholders and be able to communicate effectively across all levels
  • In-depth knowledge of joinery and an understanding of complex site installations
  • Able to use Microsoft Office Suite for the management of project information
  • Experience of managing people would be an advantage but not essential and training will be given if this is new to you
