Architectural Assistant - Warwickshire - up to £30,000 (V04188)

Our client specializes in crafting imaginative hospitality environments for major brands and F&B chains. Every successful project is the result of a dedicated team of highly skilled and motivated individuals, and it is within this team that they are currently seeking an Architectural Assistant to join.

The role of Architectural Assistant will be a hybrid of home and office based, working as part of a team and also independently. They are looking for an architectural assistant, with at least 3+ years’ experience. This would be a permanent position with 3-month probation period.

Job Description includes to:

  • Produce working drawings and drawing packs as required
  • Make statutory applications for Building Regulations / Planning / Listed Buildings / Advertising / Licensing / Warrants
  • Liaise with statutory bodies and follow through on applications
  • Produce Pavement Licence drawings
  • Produce ‘As-Built’ drawings for inclusion within Health & Safety files
  • Manage own workload on an individual project basis to comply with workload plan
  • Research and keep up to date with new architectural products and all relevant Building Regulation requirements
  • Carry out measured drawing of building surveys 


The Architectural Assistant should have the following attributes:

  • Experience in Architecture
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of Planning, Advertisement and Building Regulations, use of the Construction Design and Management Regulations, including Design Risk Assessments
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask & strong time management skills
  • Attention to detail and consistency in drawing work, to produce high quality drawings

They are able to provide the market with the most extensive design studio and largest full time work force on offer nationwide and are currently recruiting for a Client Account Manager.

Based partly from home and partly from their offices in Cheshire, you will be developing, delivering and maintaining interior design initiatives and solutions in support of Client satisfaction whilst remaining commercially aware and driven within your niche area of focus.

Key responsibilities for the Client Account Manager include to:

  • Maintain and maximise client yield across established pipelines
  • Build client sales in Business Development independently and across the wider Account Management team
  • Clearly communicate and problem solve with cross departmental Management Team

Kitchen Designer & Showroom Manager - Hertfordshire - up to £32,000 (V04189)

Our client has been designing and installing quality kitchens for over 20 years. Clients include architects, interior designers, developers and private clients. Their attention to detail and creative flair makes the whole process of creating new kitchens enjoyable and stress free.

They offer both British and German brands and are currently looking for an experienced Kitchen Designer for their Showroom based in South Hertfordshire, near the M25 and with direct links to London. They are ideally hoping for an individual who can also be look after the Showroom and design new kitchen displays.

Your role will be mainly handling the retail arm of the business but your remit will also cover some of the smaller, independent developers. You will be working from initial brief through to completion although they do have a great installations team to hand over to.


Skills and Experience needed for the Kitchen Designer:

With offices internationally, their London office are currently looking for both a midweight and a senior FF&E Interior Designers to join their very busy team.

In addition to the expected responsibilities of an FF&E Designer, the Senior FF&E Designer will provide strong project leadership, with exceptional communication throughout and encourage and promote team spirit and motivation. You will also be overseeing and supporting other designers in the Team. Furniture Design Draughtsperson - Norfolk - negotiable (V04177)

Their large purpose-built manufacturing complex is home to traditional cabinet making, veneering, carving and gilding skills, complemented by modern design, manufacturing and finishing techniques. They are seeking a full time, experienced Design Engineer and also a Furniture Draughtsperson. For both roles they are looking for individuals who are able to draw on their experience in the furniture and joinery industry to support and steer the design and technical phases of projects and to engineer work which is fit for manufacture, assembly and installation. The distinction between the roles being that the Draughtsperson will be mainly producing the technical drawings and the Design Engineer will be working with the draughting team to review and refine design intent and engineer for efficient manufacture.


Skills and Experience sought for the Furniture Design Engineer and Draughtsperson roles:

  • Excellent communication skills in order to capably discuss and establish design principles from a client’s brief
  • A good working knowledge of furniture and joinery constructional methods, and manufacturing processes

  • Strong problem-solving, time management and planning skills

They are currently seeking an Interior Designer with proven range of experience within the hospitality sector. Based in South Hertfordshire within easy access of London, you would be working for hotel groups and individual clients throughout the UK & Europe.
 
Your responsibilities will include creating design concepts, FF&E sourcing, technical drawings, sketching, rendering and putting together schemes in the format of mood and sample boards.Then working through to installation.
 
Skills and Experience needed from the Interior Designer:
  • At least 6 years' relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of fabric and upholstery, trends and suppliers
  • Able to take part in site surveys 
  • Adept at client presentations including various techniques such as CAD floor plans, elevations, digital renders as well as traditional mediums including, sample boards and sketching
  • Understanding of M&E drawings
  • Fully competent in AutoCAD and be able to produce a full range of construction packages
  • A working knowledge of 3D Studio, Photoshop and SketchUp would be desirable
 
This will initially be a 12-month contract with the potential to become permanent. Salary on offer is between £35k to £40k (negotiable) and the company all work remotely on Fridays.

Their Production Team works both in the production workshop and onsite as directed by Workshop Manager. They are currently seeking an individual who can support in all aspects of production build, general workshop responsibilities and on-site work as required. This role also acts as an Assistant to the Workshop Manager.

This is a hands-on role with tasks which includes prop making, CAD drawing, carpentry, metalworking, spray painting, scenic finishes, paint management, general production build, CAD interpretation, CNC & Laser cutter operation, vinyling, installation crewing, lead carpenter, sanding, filling & finishing.

The role includes development of practical skills including scenic, LX, sound & electronics and working in line with the Company sustainability policy, ensuring minimising wastage and organising off cuts of production material for use on subsequent jobs. Health & Safety compliance is essential as is quality control for all projects.

This position is based on a 42.5 hour week with a salary of £28k to £35k dependent on experience and skill level plus BUPA Medical & EATP and Pension.

  • Ability to perform practical tasks in the workshop
  • Strong carpentry and construction skills, ideally to include set build and props
  • Knowledge of paint & materials for scenic painting
