Our client is an industry leader in providing show home interior design and installation to the UK’s corporate property development sector. They are able to provide the market with the most extensive design studio and largest full time work force on offer nationwide and are currently recruiting for a Senior Client Account Manager.
 
This role will not only add value to their Account Manager team but also support the Sales Director in a Senior Management role. You will be developing, delivering and maintaining interior design initiatives and solutions in support of Client satisfaction whilst remaining commercially aware and driven within your niche area of focus.
They are open to where the individual will be living in the UK as they do not need to be in the office every day.
 
Key Accountabilities for the Senior Client Account Manager include to:
  • Understand, support and encourage each member of the Account Management team.
  • Maintain and maximise client yield across established pipelines.
  • Build client sales in Business Development independently and across the wider Account Management team.
  • Provide a mentor approach where required within the Account Management team.
  • Clearly communicate and problem solve with cross departmental Management Team.
  • Demonstrate a clear knowledge of your commercial priorities and responsibilities.
  • Build strong rapport with existing clients, new customers and internal colleagues.
 
Skills and Experience needed for the Senior Client Account Manager:
  • A min of 5 years' project management sales experience within the interior design industry for property developers.
  • The ability to encourage and mentor a team.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentational).
  • Able to operate self-sufficiently in a principally field based role.
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Strong lead generation and business development skills.

Senior Product Design Engineer:
As well as being a hands-on designer, seeing products through from customer concept to completion, you will assist the Design Manager with the day-to-day management of the bespoke design projects and supervise their bespoke design engineers.
  • Overseeing and validating the design, development and implementation of all bespoke project designs and new bespoke product applications
  • Identifying and suggesting new methods, procedures and work processes to continuously improve efficiencies and working practices
  • Undertaking regular meetings, appraisals and discussions of development plans with direct reports
  • Liaising directly with customers to identify their needs and provide project support and technical advice
  • Undertaking the design and development of innovative solutions to the client’s specification, producing high quality 3D models for manufacturing purposes
  • Actively building relationships with architects and contractors through project work, site visits, project meetings and events
 
Skills and experience needed for the Senior Design Engineer role:
  • Min. 5 years’ experience post studies for a technical or specialist products company
  • At least 2 years’ people management experience, working as a supervisor or design lead (or equivalent)
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • Excellent eye for detail, demonstrating ideas through innovative, quality designs and visuals to present to customers

To aid their vision of a strong design aesthetic they are looking for an experienced Product Design Engineer to help drive all technical aspects of both new product design and product improvements of their existing collections. You will be delivering 2 successful launches per year with the overall business strategy in mind as well as delivering against their sustainability commitments and ensuring all products meet required regulatory standards.
They offer hybrid working and are open to candidates living either near their London office and showroom, or their Leicester office and workshops. You will however be expected to travel regularly to the workshops and other office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring each design is ready for manufacture with complete technical packs in the form of detailed assembly drawings, lighting BOMs and installation guides
  • Leading the compliance of all products to ensure each product produced meets all regulatory standards, including UK lighting standards

Our client is an interior design and engineering firm that excels at producing complete design packages. Their services include architectural design, shopfitting, interior design, surveying, landscaping and structural design internationally.
 
With offices in Jeddah and Madrid, their London office is the main Interior Design and FF&E Studio and where they currently have two vacancies for a Senior FF&E Interior Designer (now filled) and a Mid Weight Interior Designer.
 
The Senior FF&E Interior Designer will provide strong project and team leadership, with exceptional communication throughout and encourage and promote team spirit and motivation. 
Other duties include to:
  • Coordinate and oversee the project’s documentation and develop detailed specifications for FF&E
  • Manage and check information produced by consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Forecast, identify, and communicate risks and bring ideas and solutions to the table
  • Close projects efficiently by supporting the project team on rectifying snags and assist in onsite installation
  • Contribute to setting the internal design standards and guidelines

Mid Weight Interior Designer:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and knowledge of materials, finishes & detailing
  • Good time-management and organisational skills
  • Ability to present design concepts and ideas with confidence and passion
  • Ability to deliver conceptual design ideas, bespoke technical designs drawings and FF&E selection
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Adobe and InDesign are a must
  • Good use of a procurement software
 
In return they offer the following salaries plus pension contribution and medical insurance. They work Monday to Thursday in the office with an option to work from home on Fridays. Senior FF&E Interior Designer (now filled): £48k to £60k. Mid Weight Interior Designer: £35k to £45k.

Role summary:

The role involves creating and managing specific design projects to add to the extensive range of products that Croft produces. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate, who will be responsible for taking products from concept stage through to design and prototype then successfully through to manufacturing stage. You will also be developing bespoke designs for customers as well as improving existing products.

As an Industrial Designer you will be expected to:

  • Produce new and exciting designs based upon briefs supplied.
  • Liaise with the Production Department to assess the feasibility of manufacture as well as ensuring functionality of the product.
  • Create assemblies and configurations using SolidWorks.
  • Use the 3D printer to produce prototype designs.
  • Work with the Production Department through prototyping and manufacture of designs.
  • Liaise with various departments upon receipt of bespoke enquiries from customers, to ensure accurate and detailed drawings are produced in-line with customer expectations.
  • Improve existing products through problem solving where needed.

 Essential Skills & Qualifications for the Industrial Designer:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Skilled with SolidWorks and ability to competently and accurately produce technical drawings.
  • Work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Have strong problem solving skills.
  • A background in engineering is preferable.

The role is located at our factory and offices in Willenhall, West Midlands with a competitive salary plus life insurance policy, pension scheme, 29 days holiday allowance + birthday day off. Working hours are Monday to Thursday: 8.30 - 17.00. Friday: 8.30 - 16.00.
