This company is a specialist in architecture joinery and fitted furniture for historical and period properties. They work with a variety of beautiful buildings across the UK and abroad. Everything they design is completely bespoke, and their 12,000sq.ft. modern workshop houses a dedicated team of cabinet-makers and finishers.

They are currently seeking to fill a key role for the business so the successful candidate will need plenty of experience within the furniture and joinery sector in a client facing role.

It is important that you have knowledge and a firm grasp of historical furniture and architectural details both in a classical and contemporary setting.


Other skills and experience:

  • Proven experience within the interiors marketplace, able to sketch out designs freehand and draw up space plans using AutoCAD
  • Strong leadership skills and communication skills
  • Confident in handling client presentations in a client facing role
  • An ideas person with good listening skills and the ability to generate concepts sympathetic to the client’s needs and home
  • You will need to be well-organized and committed, able to work to deadlines and manage a number of projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of building design and architecture a distinct advantage

Our client is an innovative gallery of original and unique contemporary furniture design and products and are currently seeking a Production Coordinator with technical and design knowledge of furniture construction and production methods.

You will also be overseeing gallery maintenance, responsible for conducting daily walkthroughs of the Gallery space and hanging artworks when required.

Other duties for the Production Coordinator include to:

  • Plan production schedules, monitor the production processes and control the quality standards
  • Interpret sketches and drawings, ideally able to produce CAD drawings in Rhino when required
  • Prepare shipping samples and organise international and domestic transport and delivery of furniture and sculptures
  • Liaise with different departments, teams and companies
  • Carry out condition checks and quality control of completed products so that are ready for final sign-off
  • Give design input when required

Skills and experience needed for the Production Coordinator's role:

  • Ability to interpret sketches and drawings
  • Ability to multitask and project manage the production of luxury sculptural / artistic furniture and products
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Computer literate ideally with 2D and 3D CAD skills
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
  • Knowledge of handling a variety of materials such as bronze, wood, stainless steel, resin
  • A knowledge of other languages would be desirable (French, Italian, German)

You will be regularly visiting their warehouse and there will be occasional manual handing and lifting work so they will need you to be physically able to take on this aspect of the role.

With a production and technical design studio on site they are seeking an experienced individual with strong knowledge of furniture construction and a variety of materials. Someone who can work with the team and is excited about using the finest materials and exacting requirements needed in order to fulfill the design and brief.

This person will understand what is required to work at this level of the industry and is forward thinking.


Key Responsibilities for the Production Manager include to:

  • Oversee the design and production of gallery artists collection from concept stage through to manufacture including material and component specifications, production of prototypes and drawings
  • Plan and draw up a production schedule, monitor the production processes and set and control the quality standards
  • Supplier relationship management (budgets, negotiating costs, sourcing and contacting suppliers)
  • Liaise with different departments, teams and companies, e.g. suppliers, managers, clients

A large part of the job is dealing with people and resource management, you may also be involved with furniture design and purchasing.

Key Person and Experience required for the Production Manager:

  • Experienced in the fabrication of luxury sculptural/artistic furniture and products
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • The capacity to grasp complex design and production concepts easily
  • Fluency to deal with various software and CAD programmes, the client uses Rhino and the Adobe Suite
  • Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
  • Strong negotiation skills for getting materials within budget at the right time
  • Leadership skills and the ability to motivate others to meet deadlines
  • A results-driven approach to work

This atelier design studio and workshop produces unique, custom-made sculptural designs. Mainly creating furniture and feature lighting their designs can be found in some of the most fascinating and beautiful properties in the world.

They are currently recruiting for a Production Controller to regulate and control the various operations of the production process in such a way, that an orderly flow of materials is ensured at the different stages of production and items are effortlessly produced of the right quality, in the right quantity and at the right time.

The main aim of this role is to liaise with key people in production to ensure a seamless flow of product through operations and to monitor the times taken to ensure these are reflective of those used in planning and estimation. You will also be jointly responsible for checking orders in production are meeting the customers’ expectations, finished on time and meet the quality requirements of the customer and the company.

It is important that you are comfortable operating and supervising in the workshop which can be noisy at times!

Person / Experience Required:

  • Experience of supervising / managing and motivating others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Independent, self-motivated with a can-do attitude
  • Strong organisational skills will be essential
  • Conscientious with a calm manner and great attention to detail
  • Experience of a workshop environment
  • Ideally, experienced within the luxury goods market

Based within 10 miles of Highgate your area will be covering North London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire & parts of West London.  All leads will be generated in-house and you will be given an average of 40 enquiries per month to contact, arrange visits and convert into design and sales.

Person / Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years' proven experience in designing and selling within the luxury interiors sector (kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms or other fitted furniture)
  • CAD literate, ideally VectorWorks, AutoCAD or ArtiCAD
  • Happy and able to be mobile with your own presentable car to visit clients
