Competent in 3D software with good 3D visualisation ability and 2D CAD experience, you will also have to demonstrate an astute sense of commercial awareness and confidence in the skills of negotiation. Experience in cabinet vision software and an understanding of MRP systems would be beneficial and a high level of attention to detail a prerequisite. A proven track record in a similar role would be advantageous.

Our client creates luxury furniture for super yacht and residential projects worldwide. The company is known for combining innovative design with exceptional craftsmanship. They are looking to recruit a lead designer that can share their vision and direction with an existing design team. The designer will be responsible for leading and working as part of a team (of three designers) in the development and execution of bespoke furniture projects to both traditional and contemporary design briefs.

The candidate will have a degree in Product / Furniture design and at least 3 years commercial experience working in a luxury residential or yacht interior design studio. The candidate will need to be a proficient user of AutoCAD, Rhino (or other 3D software) and Adobe Creative Suite. In addition hand sketching skills are necessary to communicate ideas for presentations and client facing. A working knowledge of interior or architectural design and photography art direction/post production would also be beneficial. The role requires: excellent written and spoken English, confident client facing skills, attention to detail and accuracy, a calm manner under pressure and ability to maintain effective working relationships with the design and procurement team.

This leading upholstery manufacturer in the UK works with many of the major furniture retailers and is seeking to strengthen their Design Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Design and working closely with the design team the successful candidate will have a good understanding of textiles for use in upholstery together with a passion for blending together shape, texture and colour for the upholstered furniture market. Responsibilities will include liaising with fabric suppliers and agents on existing collections whilst also reviewing new collections, attending fabric shows and developing the full colour palate on selected fabric ranges.

Qualified and experienced with textiles for upholstery / furnishings, you will be creative with an eye for trends, colours and palettes and have at least 1 years' industrial experience.
